Our History

In the mid-late 90’s a group of likeminded safety professionals from the UK’s leading Parcel Carriers and other interested parties started what is now the Parcel Carriers Safety Association, with the primary aim of improving and promoting consistent safety standards and best practice across the parcel carrying industry.

The PCSA member organisations represent the safety of over 50,000 employees along with associated agency workers and various types of contractors and provides a single point of focus for its constituent members co-ordinating a common industry response to draft legislation and regulation that directly impacts on the parcel carrying sector.

Whilst the PCSA recognises not all parcel carriers are members or have dedicated safety departments, PCSA membership provides access to a wealth of professional expertise within the field of safety and the parcel sector for members to benchmark against along with a collective resource to draw upon; and aims to provide access to some common industry related topics in order to promote consistent and improving standards throughout the whole of the parcel carriers sector.
